We've been getting lots of great submissions for the journal, the first issue to be released in the new year. At this time we have several book projects in the plan for the next few months and are looking for some smaller book or zine projects as well, drawings, artwork, photos, writing, poetry. (Take note: the more strange the work, the better chance we'll get back to you quickly.)

Along with our Journal, which will be the first release from Spear Throw, work has started on a new book of drawings, entitled "Joke of the Day." More information will be disclosed when it is ready to go to print!

With the large amount of international submissions we have been receiving, we have decided to start placing together and planning a well curated collection of work from weirdos and esteemed writers from all over the world. So if you aren't from Nova Scotia or are from Canada and are not eligible to submit to the spearthrow journal at this time we welcome you to submit to this new collection that we are already very excited about.

The site is finally up, and we are currently putting together the first newsprint journal from Spear Throw, which is scheduled for print in the fall. We are now acccepting submissions for our upcoming issues. There is more information on the submission process on the submissions page. We are interested in text based art, poetry, experimental writing, and lists of words. Although this publication has a focus on Nova Scotian based writers and artists, we will accept international submissions for consideration.
