Open Call for Submissions!

 

The Spear Throw Publishing Collective is now accepting unsolicited submissions for its first published journal of writing/poems/words. Currently, we are focusing primarily on displaying the work of emerging Canadian (Especially Nova Scotian) Authors & Artists who are writing or producing:

• avant garde short stories
• experimental and contemporary poetry
• illustrations and drawings
• interesting book work & comics

We welcome you to submit a short query letter describing your work and a few examples of your previously unpublished poems, writing, drawings, or poems. (This doesn't have to be formal.) If you are sending work for the publication or a new book project, try to send the specific work you wish to be put in. We are commited to displaying the work of unpublished authors and emerging artists as well as producing high quality, well designed books. As far as content is concerned, it is open ended. We are especially interested in the obscure, the unique, the overtly creative, the unresloved, the minimal, and very honest styles of writings.
Don't be shy: all submissions will be read and personally responded to!As for now, we are only accepting online submissions and that have not appeared on the Internet unless it has only been posted to writers' forums for discussion.All submissions or questions should be directed to:

International Submissions

We are putting together a collection of work from all over the place and attempting to show it in a uniting manner via book form. We are very excited about this project and welcome anyone to apply.
